More Info: Come and enjoy a spooktacular Halloween time! Our Spell-a-bration begins at Town Hall where the little ghouls and witches Trick-or-Treat at all the local businesses on the way to the Buckeye Recreation Center. The chills and thrills don't stop there! With food, games, a bounce house, costume contest and a haunted egg hunt, your little monster is sure to have plenty of fright and fun at Buckeye that night.
Beech Mountain and Lees McRae Equine Club Haunted Hayride
When: October 25th-October 27th
Where: Buckeye Recreation Center
Cost: $5 per ticket in Advance or $7 at the door; Proceeds to benefit Community Projects and the Lees McRae Equestrian Club
Age: Saturday Night Early Ride is family-friendly; Later events may not be appropriate for children or may require parental guidance
Info: Want to do something out of the ordinary to celebrate Halloween? Come and try our Haunted Hayride! This is a full scale production put on by the Town of Beech Mountain Parks and Recreation Department and the Lees McRae Equestrain Club as a fundraiser for Beech Mountain community projects and the Equestrian Club. Come enjoy the thrills and chills of the hayride for a good cause!
Fly Tying & Fly Fishing with BJ
Where: Meet at the Buckeye Recreation Center
Time: Fly Tying 9am-11am; Fly Fishing 9am-1pm
Cost: $75 per a Person per Package
Age: 15 and Older
More Info: Join BJ, our local fishing expert for a two day fishing experience unlike any other. On the first day you will learn to tie your own flies and then fish with them on the following day! BJ will take you to some of the local spots and best kept secrets for fishing in North Carolina.

Cost: Tickets are $20.00 in advance; $25.00 at the gate; VIP Tickets are $50.00

More info: Travel back in time to 1939 to the enchanted world of the "Oz," high atop Beech Mountain at the Land of Oz Park. This year the 20th Annual "Autumn at Oz" Festival is returning again with an expanded venue providing visitors with more activities, food, drink, and sights to behold while maintaining the same nostalgic feeling from the Land of Oz. Children and adults alike will be enchanted as they experience Dorothy's trip from her farm home in Kansas through the twister and down the yellow brick road to the "Land of Oz." Along your journey you will be met by a full cast portraying many of the vibrant characters similar to those of the original movie production. Your senses will be delighted at the "Autumn at Oz" Festival as it prepares you for the fantasy journey through the Land of Oz.
