Trails of Beech Mountain
“Something for everyone” is the best way to describe the 30+ miles of publicly maintained trails on Beech Mountain. Elevate your recreation with an easy stroll through the woods, a fun and winding ride along Beech’s highest ridge, puddle jump down streams, take a picture at one of many vista points, feel the mist off of a magnificent mountain waterfall, or meander through old growth forests.
From mountain biking to hiking to cross country skiing and snowshoeing, the trails of Beech are sure to captivate you and your personal recreational desires! Pick-up YOUR trail map at the Buckeye Recreation Center for specific information on each individual trail.
Emerald Outback at Beech Mountain, Multi-Use Trail System
The Town of Beech Mountain is proud to offer the new Emerald Outback trail system, which is phase one of the Beech Mountain Adventure Trail Park. The Emerald Outback is a compilation of diverse, sustainably built, interconnected multi-use trails for hiking, biking, running, snowshoeing, and cross country skiing that will appeal to a diverse group of recreationists from all backgrounds.
The trail network is a series of trails on both public and private land, maintained by the Town of Beech Mountain, that includes single track, double track, technical downhill runs, free ride areas, fire roads, old unmaintained gravel roads, rambling creeks, babbling brooks, scenic overlooks, and thick mile high forest, all nestled above 5,000 ft.
