Beech Mountain Parks

Perry Park:
This park has a newly completed picnic and parking area off of Tamarack road and serves as the trail head for upper pond creek hiking trail. Enjoy a picnic, listen to the babbling creek, or enjoy a hike from this great neighborhood park!

Hayden’s Park:
Hayden’s park is a wonderful area with gorgeous and serene surroundings. Sunset park is centrally located at the junction of Village Rd, Mariah Circle, North Pinnacle Ridge Rd, and Norhridge Rd and makes for a great walking destination, picnic spot, or a wonderful place to enjoy a good book!

Sunset Park:
Sunset park is a neat neighborhood park located at the top on North Pinnacle Ridge Rd. Complete with grills, picnic tables, blue berry bushes ripe for picking, and the most gorgeous sunsets; sunset park is a great family destination.

Lake Coffey:
Lake Coffey is one of Beech Mountain’s signature neighborhood parks nestled off of Lakeledge Rd. Lake coffey is a great place to fish as it is stocked regularly with mountain trout. Coffey park is also a great place for exercise with its ¼ mile walking track around the lake, basketball court, and of course since it serves as the junction point for Beech Mountain’s premier upper and lower pond creek trails. You can enjoy an entire day at this wonderful park!

Buckeye Lake Recreation Area:
The Buckeye Lake Recreation Area is a 60+ acre recreation preserve that includes the 23,000 sq. ft. Buckeye Recreation Center, playground, falls hiking trail, a large picnic pavilion, non-motorized boat dock, numerous fishing access points, and a community bonfire pit.

Beech Community Sledding Hill:
Beech Mountain is home to the High Country’s only free, publicly maintained and groomed (complete with artificial snow making) community sledding hill. The sledding hill park opens Thanksgiving weekend, weather permitting and remains open through the first of march, again weather permitting. Located atop Beech Mountain neighboring the Town Hall and Chamber of Commerce/Visitors Center, you are sure to enjoy this wonderful winter park complete with holiday music and lots of winter cheer! Please note, the sledding hill is for children under 12 years old, closes at dark, and we ask that you only use plastic sleds.
